The Cini Group came
from a naval school in beautiful Venice to spend a week of lessons
and activities at the Lewis School. Here's what they did.

Sunday:
Esther went to meet the group at Stansted Airport.
We travelled to Southampton by private coach and saw Stonehenge on
the way. When we arrived, everyone was introduced to their
host families.

|
|
|
Monday:
All the students took their placement test, met their teacher and
had their first lesson. Then, we went on a guided tour
around Southampton's City Walls.

Tuesday:
After class, went on the Titanic Trail
to learn about the famous ship that sailed from Southampton, which
sailed from here. In the evening, we went bowling.

Wednesday:
Lessons as usual, followed by swimming and football.
Thursday: After
class, we went on a half-day excursion to
Portsmouth's Historic
Dockyard. We went onto HMS Warrior (19th century) and HMS
Victory (18th century). We also went to the Action Stations
exhibition and had fun on the computer simulations.

Friday: A goodbye
party at the school. We enjoyed some good MC skills from Alessandro and
Luigi.
Saturday:
A day trip to London, to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Tower
Bridge and the
National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory at Greenwich.
And for a break, we went shopping at the famous department store
Harrods.

Back to Stansted Airport to catch the plane home.
