Brewery Tour - October 2004

The English love beer, so we decided to give our students the chance to see how it is made.  We visited Ringwood Brewery in the New Forest, to learn about the process of making beer, and of course, to have a few drinks!

1. Click on the photos to see them full-size.

2. Click on an underlined word to read its definition.  This will open in a new window.

Ringwood Brewery produces beer in a traditional way, using natural ingredients such as barley and hops selected from farms in the south of England.

The beer is brewed in huge vats such as these.

We're all getting thirsty now!

Two open vats, filled with 1000 litres of beer. As you can, it has a very frothy head.

After the tour, we had the chance to sample a lot of different beers.  Fantastic!  Vilem and Caio are first in the queue.

We liked the beer so much, we decided to take a few barrels home with us!
