Lewis School Diary - March 2008

One of the spring highlights at the Lewis School is our free trip to the Dorset Coast. This is a beautiful area not far from Southampton that is full of picturesque coastline, countryside and villages. Here are some of our students in Corfe Castle.

March was an exciting time for social activities as we set up the new Students' Social Committee. This is a group of students who organise extra activities in addition to our social activities programme. Our student represenatives (below right) are Maria Jose, Sophie, Young Joo, Ali, Diego, Silvia and Qing.

The first Student Social Committee activity was the brilliant 'Girl Power' Party (men were invited too!). There was also a paintballing trip and a farewell party for Silvia. Well done to the SSC for organising these great activities!

March was another busy month for marketing. Alistair visited Colombia and Mexico as part of the Quality English mission, while Giovanni visited Tyumen in Russia (photos below). We would like to extend our warmest regards to our new agents and partners, and look forward to working with you in the future.

In our Junior Centre, we welcomed the Voyage Tour group from Russia, who spent two weeks at the school. You can see photos from their stay at our Junior Centres website.

Finally, we would like to say congratulations to Ian and Kyoko on the birth of their daughter Maya, and we were very sorry this month to say farewell to Sara - we wish you the best of luck in your new job.

See you soon for next month's news. If you have any photos or stories to contribute to our news pages, please contact Tom: tom@lewis-school.co.uk.
