February was a sunny month here in Southampton. As you can see from the photos below, however, it was quite cold too! These pictures were taken on our London Trip (we also went to Oxford in February).

We enjoyed high student numbers for this time of the year, with 132 students from an impressive 32 nationalities! Among our students this month were a group of teachers from the Basque Country in Spain, who came for a 3-week programme of lessons and activities. This included some enjoyable and informative visits to local primary and secondary schools and the chance to see first-hand how schools operate in England.
We were also delighted this month to welcome a group of agents from Russia and Germany on our Lewis School Educational Tour programme, which included visits to our Adult School, Junior Centres and presentations by the local tourist office. Below are three photos from the event - thank you
Lyubov!

In a busy month, we also welcomed Carolyn Blackmore, Chief Executive of Quality English. This organisation, of which we are a member, is
a group of established, independent schools which are carefully selected for their quality of customer service and their commitment to excellence in English language teaching. We became a member of Quality English in October and look forward to further co-operation as we strive to keep improving the quality of service we offer.
February was also a busy month in our Junior Centre, with three groups from Italy following a programme of lessons and activities. Visit our Junior Centres photo gallery to see what they did.
Finally, all of us at the Lewis School would like to offer our congratulations to Anastasia and Richard on the birth of their second daughter. Alissa was born on 29 February, weighing an impressive 4kg! Our warmest wishes to all the family.
