Lewis School Diary - May 2007

After a very sunny April we had a very wet May in Southampton. Fortunately, it remained dry for our barbecue party. This was a special event as it was a chance to say goodbye to our Academic Year students, who had been with us since September.

At the end of the party, Jill presented certificates to the group, which included Sangduean (Debbie) from Thailand, Atoosa and Mohammed Reza from Iran, Fulya from Turkey, Raquel from Spain, Eman from Saudi Arabia, Myung Ha from Korea and Abdurrazag from Libya. We would like to wish all of you the very best for the future.

The staff went sailing at Calshot on a wet and windy Sunday this month. Well done to Richard, who sailed brilliantly despite never having done it before!

The roses on our patio look very impressive at the moment (see below), and for that we have to thank Hiro from Japan, who last summer climbed onto the patio trellis to prune the roses. This was a difficult and dangerous job. Thank you, Hiro!

Our spectacular roses!
