Lewis School Diary - July 2007

The summer season truly began in July, as we welcomed a lot of new students. The weather wasn't always very summery, but as you can see, it stayed dry for most of our trips.

This month's trips included Brighton (above), London, Oxford and Bath. There were many other great activities too, such as a barbecue party, an evening cruise, a visit to see the cruise ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2, and regular trips to the pub. Here are some of the highlights. Click on a photo to enlarge it.

A film crew came to the school in July to shoot classes and activities for our new promotional videos (coming soon). Special thanks to the student who volunteered to be interviewed for the video: Aunchalee from Thailand, Daniel from Switzerland, Emma (Jung-Won) from Korea, Carmen from Spain, Yazid from Saudi Arabia and Areno from Brazil. Thank you also to Leila, Julie and Barry - the host families in the videos; and of course the film crew - Stuart, Simon and Elliot. In fact thank you to everyone who was at the school at the time of filming. We'll let you know when the film is finished!

July was a busy month in our Junior Centres, which are based in Southampton, Reading (between Southampton and London) and in the Italian Alps. Click here for news and photos.
