End-of-Year Party - December 2006

Every year, our staff and students put on a special show of music, comedy and dance. This year we were particularly impressed with the talent on show. Take a look at these pictures!

The acts, introduced by Jonathan:

1.  The Lewis School Band

A performance of the classic Beatles song, 'When I'm Sixty-Four'... but with a difference! Starring Tom and Ian on vocals, Rika on keyboard, Jonathan on guitar, Abby on trumpet, Gerard on drums, and Kohsho and Takako as the 'old couple'.

2.  Gerard, 'We Will Rock You'

Gerard rocks the party with his great singing and drumming. The crowd sing along to the famous song by Queen.

3.  Thai Dance

Debbie from Thailand treats us to a wonderful traditional dance.

4.  Communication Problems

Starring Peggy the receptionist ('blah blah blah!'), Raquel as the confused maid and Elwyn, who looked delightful as the old lady trying to book a room in a hotel.

5.  Abby's Angels

Abby, who is both a teacher and dance instructor, choreographed a dance performed by Atoosa, Michael, Raushan, Gerard, Anne-Marie and Mélanie.

"Will you still need me, will you still feed me when I'm 64?"

Gerard performs a great solo.

Debbie delights us with her Thai dance.

The crowd are having a great time.

Is that Elwyn?

Abby's Angels shows us their moves.

6.  Yeepah!

Jill, Eman, Myung Ha, Debbie, Raquel and Fulya perform a mysterious shuffling routine.

7.  The Tapping Trio

Brilliant tap dancing by Abby, Lori-Ann and Paul as they perform a number from the musical Chicago.

8.  Gerard on Guitar

The multi-talented Gerard sings a couple of Korean songs.

9.  TEFL Jive

A special teachers' performance starring Alistair, Richard, Ian, Jonathan and Jill.

The mysterious Yeepah.

Eman, Debbie and Myung Ha.

The truly terrific trio of Abby, Paul and Lori-Ann.

Gerard shares his musical talents.

A very special performance from Alistair, Paul, Ian, Jonathan and Richard.

"Hang on a minute..."

The show's over - time to dance!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the performances and to those who helped put up decorations, prepare the food and tidy up afterwards.
