December was a short month at the Lewis School, as we closed for our two-week Christmas and New Year break on 16 December.
The main event in December was our End-of-Year Party, which you can read all about by clicking here. A couple of days later, we went to Portsmouth Christmas Festival, held at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. We looked around the historic ships such as HMS Victory (below), went to the Christmas market and French market, and enjoyed seeing people in Victorian costume. You can see more photos and read more about the event at Okey-Dokey.

On our final day, all the staff and students gathered together in our coffee room for drinks and snacks. Some students had finished their courses but many will be back for 2007. Those who stayed here during the holiday had a rare chance to go ice-skating in Southampton, as an open-air ice rink opened (just for a month) outside the Guildhall.
