Our weekend camping trip in the New Forest was a particularly special social activity. As you can imagine, it was also a chance to get to know other students (and Ian) pretty well!
The trip began on Friday after classes, with Ian filling up his car with all the equipment and everyone else catching the bus. After the tents were put up, we 'chilled out' and played a few games. Then we cooked dinner, which included Thai curry and paella. Those of us who stayed up late also had a very spicy Libyan pasta dish.

Success! the first tent is up.
On Saturday, we couldn't believe our bad luck as thunderstorms hit the region. We got very wet! Fortunately, though, there were also moments of sunshine, so we managed to take some nice photos. We visited the village of Burley. Some of us walked to a lovely manor house, while others spent a fantastic evening fishing at the beach. On Sunday, we packed up the tents and went back home.
