New Reception - February 2005

During the Christmas break we started the renovation of the reception area. This involved knocking down two walls and putting up metal girders to support their weight. Everything was then plastered ready for the wallpaper.

Meanwhile a craftsman was making the reception desk in beech wood.  After the carpet was fitted, he and his team came along to install it. As part of the overall design we have used vertical radiators which save a lot of space and are an elegant feature in their own right.

It has taken us all about 3-4 weeks to get used to the fact that we do not need to go from No 33 into the garden and back again to get to No 32. We simply cross the room!

We are delighted with the results. It gives everything a more professional and upmarket feel.

Here are a few photos of how the work progressed.
