The event, which took place at the South Ural State University, explored the use of materials other than coursebooks in language teaching. The speakers were Richard Hamilton, Tom Bradbury and Giovanni Rottura.

The presentations began with Richard exploring the advantages and disadvantages of teaching 'beyond the book'. Tom then took us on journey through useful Internet resources, including his own, recently-launched website, TeachYa.com. The event then concluded with both Richard and Tom showcasing a wide range of practical ideas for classroom use, in a presentation called 'Making the Most of Materials'. All those attending the events were presented with a certificate of attendance.

The event was co-ordinated by Giovanni Rottura, and run in collaboration with our partners Eckersley Oxford. The Fresh Approach team would like to thank everyone who came, and hope you will keep in touch.
