» 1:1 & 2:1 LESSONS
An enrolment fee of £65 applies to all new students.
This is a non-refundable administrative fee that must be paid at the time of booking.
The course fees include:
Welcome pack, folder and all learning materials (including coursebook on IELTS Course / IELTS Short Course)
Study Clubs (free 1-hour sessions led by teachers) and access to self-study resources
Certificate and report at end of course (certificate subject to the student attending at least 80% of lessons)
Homestay (All year round). Prices in £/GBP per week.
• Executive Homestay provides you with a private bathroom (NB this is not necessarily en-suite).
• Half Board includes breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday, plus all meals at the weekend.
• Full Board offers the same as Half Board plus a packed lunch Monday to Friday.
• If you wish to keep your room while you are on holiday, we charge a retainer fee of £6 per day
• Halal, vegan, coeliac or lactose-free diet: additional fee of £30 per week.
• Vegetarian or no-pork diet: this can be provided at no extra cost.
• Special dietary requirements must be requested on the booking form.
Residence (All year round). Prices in £/GBP per week.
Lewis School co-operates with Austen House and Crescent Place: two city-centre residences — both within a 10-minute walk of the school.
Some social activities are free but others may require an additional fee.
We can arrange insurance cover through Howden . You will be covered under Howden Student Policy, which has been specially designed for international students studying abroad.
Insurance Cover Standard: £10.00 per week.
Insurance Cover Private: £20.00 per week.

Delays and Waiting Charges: After the first hour following the landing time, you will be charged £45 per hour pro rata
for any delays. This is to cover the cost of parking and the driver’s time.
Nighttime Arrival Fee: An additional £30 will be charged for transfers for flights arriving between 22.00 and 05.00.
The school is open for classes every week from Monday to Friday except on the following days:
UK Public Holidays 2026: 3 April, 6 April, 4 May, 25 May, 31 August
Christmas Closure 2026-27: the school closes on 19 December 2026 and reopens on 4 January 2027
Changing Course
Refunds
If you leave your course early, tuition fees will not be refunded. You will also not get a refund for lessons you miss because you are absent or because of public holidays. Tuition fees can be moved to another course (see condition 12), but they cannot be moved to other services such as accommodation, airport transfers or exam fees. Insurance fees cannot be refunded. Any unused accommodation fees can be refunded.
If your visa application is refused, the School will refund your tuition and accommodation fees in full, as long as we receive written proof at least 7 days before your arrival. In this case, the £65 enrolment fee will not be refunded.
If we receive written proof of visa refusal less than 7 days before arrival, we will refund your fees minus: the £65 enrolment fee

All agreed refunds will be paid within four weeks after you send us:
